Dr. Ștefan Cibian is the executive director and co-founder of the Făgăraș Research Institute. He is teaching international development courses at Babeș-Bolyai University and is a consultant with Chatham House – The Royal Institute of International Affairs and the World Bank Group. His research focuses on development and statehood in Sub-Saharan Africa, CEE and EU – Africa relations, development policy, international relations theory, peacebuilding, democratization, civil society and philanthropy, migration, and human rights. Stefan is the President of FOND, the Romanian NGDO Platform and the Treasurer of CONCORD – the European NGO Confederation for Humanitarian Aid and Development. He is also a board member with Țara Făgărașului Community Foundation (FCTF), the Romanian Federation of Community Foundations (FFCR), the Romanian Association for International Cooperation and Development (ARCADIA), and UiPath Foundation. Stefan is a member of Bosch Alumni Network, Global Diplomacy Lab, Turkey-Europe Future Forum & Stiftung Mercator Alumni Network, and Responsible Leaders Network of BMW Foundation.
Rodica has worked as a Business Analyst and Transformation Specialist for more than 7 years within the shipping and financial industries. Rodica is from Moldova and has been living in Denmark for the past 10 years. She holds a BSc in Economic IT from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen. While she was studying in Copenhagen Rodica noticed the need for a structured Romanian community of students and young professionals. As a result, in 2012 she joined GRASP and co-founded its Local Chapter in Copenhagen. Currently, in her role as VP, Rodica supports the organisation’s focus on strengthening its foundation and designing its future.
Rodica greatly enjoys reading, travelling, and connecting people because the right persons can make wonders together.
Catalin brings over eight years of experience in strategic communications working in various roles across international development, social entrepreneurship, e-learning and the built environment.
As a Vice President, Catalin oversees our Global Strategy, focusing on driving brand strengthening and securing firm positioning in the sector.
With a keen interest in digital storytelling, Catalin is an all-round creative, highly-organised communicator, with a strong belief in the power of communications to connect and empower people around the world.
Radu is a Product Owner and Lead Data Scientist at Zurich Insurance, in Barcelona, Spain. He has excellent analytical and entrepreneurial skills combined with more than 20 years programming experience. All these help him deliver exceptional business results through innovative AI & ML solutions.
Radu spends much of his free time learning about interior design and home renovations, investing and backpacking, travelling on a budget to discover new and exciting places.
Radu has been a GRASP member since 2018 when he co-founded the Local Chapter in Barcelona. Currently, in his role as General Secretary, he ensures the organization has effective records and administration.
Sorin is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Danske Bank Asset Management, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since 2013 Sorin has been part of a 4-person team managing a €5bn fund invested in Emerging Markets Debt. His role is to perform sovereign credit analysis for 80+ countries spread across Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Sorin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and has graduated with a Master’s degree in Economics from The University of Copenhagen.
Sorin has been a GRASP member since 2012 when he co-founded the Local Chapter in Copenhagen. Currently, in his role as a Treasurer, he ensures the organisation's financial resources are managed properly in order to serve GRASP's mission.
Ana-Maria has been living in Milan, Italy since 2018. After graduating from the Polytechnic University in Bucharest and getting some work experience, she decided to follow an MBA program in Vlerick Business School, Belgium. Ana-Maria has extensive experience in the Energy Industry, in various roles and responsibilities. Over time she developed educational or professional projects in Romania, Italy, UK, Belgium, France, and Hong Kong. She decided to join GRASP after identifying a need for such a community among the Romanian professionals living in Milan. Personally, GRASP helps Ana-Maria not only to develop certain skills that she frequently uses on her day-to-day job but also to accomplish things that were previously out of her comfort zone.
