Touching on questions such as “ What are my solutions if I don’t want a 9 to 5 job?” – “What’s the reality of being an entrepreneur or a freelancer abroad in 2021?” and “How do we equip ourselves to compete in a fast-paced, ever-changing market?”, this panel discussion will explore new models and approaches to developing future skills for young people embarking on a self-employed journey far away from home.

11:50am – From feeling lost to finding direction: how coaching can unleash your potential. How often did you come to a point in your life where you felt confused about what it was that you were supposed to do, wanted to do, where you wanted to be and how you wanted to go about making a career or when it comes to your personal life? Coaching is well placed to help people address both personal and professional challenges. Mihaela Popa will introduce you briefly to the world of coaching, present a selection of coaching models and tools and invite you to practice on the spot.

13:50pm – A plan for my future self. Design thinking is a process for creative problem solving that has a human-centered core. The process starts with taking action and understanding the right questions while embracing simple mindset shifts and tackling problems from a new direction. Sandra Wdowiak will share how design thinking methodology can help you understand and plan the steps you need to take now in order to fulfill your career ambitions. In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your key values, hopes, fears and goals.

No matter where you are in your career, you can often find yourself feeling stuck without any clear direction as to what your next professional step should be. This panel will share stories of people who overcame this feeling of being stuck and will provide some practical lessons on how to move towards identifying your career potential.
