The GRASP Annual Conference is our network’s flagship event which brings together online and offline leading experts, members and decision makers in the private, public and not-for-profit sector. It is a space for GRASP members to connect with game changers and sector innovators through workshops and facilitated discussions to explore, ideate, collaborate, and generate new approaches that respond to the ever-changing needs, challenges and aspirations of young Romanian professionals globally.

This year’s theme, “Career Crossroads”, will arm you with the tactical know-how you need to better navigate the ever changing world of work. Join leading experts and GRASP members from around the world and help shape the future of young Romanian professionals around the world.

GRASP’s Annual Conference will take place on Saturday 20 November in Copenhagen, Denmark at the Kulturhuset Indre By (Culture House Indre By), conveniently located just minutes away from Nørreport Station. Participants will have the opportunity to explore key topics and share their expertise with experts in career development and entrepreneurship. Our themes for this year’s annual conference are:

  • Progress – we will discuss in depth what we need to be thinking about for the future of work. We will explore the skills needed to thrive in your career, whether as an entrepreneur or in traditional employment.
  • Growth – together with professionals from around the world we will explore the barriers in fullfilling your career potential as well as the challenges of mental health and wellbeing in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.


Broaden your horizons with inspiring activities, from daytime keynote speakers, panel discussions and workshops, to organised networking and social activities. We’ll update the agenda regularly as we move closer to the event.

10:00am – Welcome and opening remarks

10:15am – Keynote

10:45amTHE REALITY PANEL: Touching on questions such as “ What are my solutions if I don’t want a 9 to 5 job?” –  “What’s the reality of being an entrepreneur or a freelancer abroad in 2021?” and “How do we equip ourselves to compete in a fast-paced, ever-changing market?”, this panel discussion will explore new models and approaches to developing future skills for young people embarking on a self-employed journey far away from home.

11:30am – Networking

11:45amFrom feeling lost to finding direction: how coaching can unleash your potential. How often did you come to a point in your life where you felt confused about what it was that you were supposed to do, wanted to do, where you wanted to be and how you wanted to go about making a career or when it comes to your personal life? Coaching is well placed to help people address both personal and professional challenges. Mihaela Popa will introduce you briefly to the world of coaching, present a selection of coaching models and tools and invite you to practice on the spot.

12:30pm – Lunch and networking

13:30pmA plan for my future self. Design thinking is a process for creative problem solving that has a human-centered core. The process starts with taking action and understanding the right questions while embracing simple mindset shifts and tackling problems from a new direction. Sandra Wdowiak will share how design thinking methodology can help you understand and plan the steps you need to take now in order to fulfill your career ambitions. In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your key values, hopes, fears and goals.

15:30pmBURNING BRIGHT OR BURNING OUT: As the world of work is changing, people are now more than ever trying to find jobs that are satisfying, meaningful and enable them to achieve their full potential. No matter where you are in your career, you can often find yourself feeling stuck without any clear direction as to what your next professional step should be. This panel will share stories of people who overcame this feeling of being stuck and will provide some practical lessons on how to move towards identifying your career potential.  

16:15pm – Closing remarks and networking
